you are so adorable! how tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?
Oh my gosh, hi, good morning, thank you! You’re so sweet! I am 5’4 ish. For reference, my brother - who is the one in a lot of pictures with me around here - is 6’1.
Today, these are the things that I love: the way the bare branches of trees look like upside-down lungs. The sound of a friend’s voice on the end of the line. Good, fascinating work that I get lost in. Being in school, learning because I want to learn, not because I have to. Funny books. Beautiful grey weather. A hot cup of tea. A laughter-filled lunch with friends. Making travel plans. Fresh food. Clean water. The wisdom of a mentor: there is no right path. The path you are on is the right one because it is the one you are on.
Be thankful you don’t have everything you desire, if you did, what would you have to look forward to? Be thankful when you don’t know something, it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes, they will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you are tired and weary, it means you’ve made a difference. It is easy to be thankful for the good things, a life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.
